My daughters are the reasons I’m running for the Utah House of Representatives—because I know that they deserve Better Schools, Cleaner Air, and Stronger Families around them. And you deserve those things too! The Utah Legislature has a constitutional responsibility to make Better Schools, Cleaner Air, and Stronger Families realities in Utah. But for the last dozen years, I’ve seen them ignore these real problems to focus on extreme fringe issues. Sadly, our incumbent representative—my opponent—is part of the problem. His big bill this last legislative session was about vanity license plates. I think we have more important things to deal with—issues will impact our kids’ and grandkids’ lives.

Every candidate running for office pays lip service to education. My kids are less than three years away from attending our Provo public schools. I know that I only have that long to get our schools funded properly before these problems become personal to me. Unlike the other candidates in this race, I will be paying more than lip service—I will be working as hard as I can to get this right. A vote for Daniel Craig Friend is a vote for better schools for our kids.
